The summer following her father's death, Macy plans to work as the library and wait for her brainy boyfriend to return from camp, but instead she goes to work at a catering business where she makes new friends and finally faces her grief.
Here is an opportunity for high school students from around the state of Vermont to share how they feel after reading this year's Green Mt. Books. Contact Ms. Hamblett (hphamblett@lruhs.org) to participate.

I read this book over the summer not knowing it was in the running to have an award. I absolutely loved this book and think it was a great book for teen readers. I read this book whenever I am home and don't have another book to read. It is just one of those books you can read over and over again and it won't get old. Well it might eventually but not right yet!!
This book was great! I read it and was immediately taken in by the realistic and funny characters and the book's sweet and poignant plot. A definent must-read for girls into teen romance! :-)
I read the book "The Truth About Forever" about a year and a half ago and I didn't even know that it was going to be a Green Mountain book award nominee. I don't remember all of it but the author did a really good job at creating a character that was in a real life situation, instead of something out of a fairytale. The main character has to deal with the death of her father and somehow make it through the summer at the same time. Her situation is one that anyone can be in and it made it seem more realistic. She does a great job at telling how Macy gets over her loss. Sarah Dessen is a great author and I really enjoyed reading this book so much that I have now read all of her books.
